Apple Goes Smaller And Cheaper At Their Latest Event

Apple has unveiled some changes at a product event in California early this morning. The company has shown a shift towards the smaller and cheaper because not everything bigger is better, at least according to apples Greg Joswiak, who says 60% of iPhone users with the older 4inch models had not felt the need to upgrade. Apple is listening to this consumer trend and bringing back a smaller iPhone. The new model named the iPhone SE will have the same internal elements as the iPhone 6S. This iPhone will come in at around $680 for the basic model, a substantially cheaper price point than previous iPhones.

Apple is also releasing a smaller version of the iPad pro, optimised for business users. This model features a detachable keyboard and a stylus, these features can be found in the original pro. The new model offers these features in a more compact setting, making it a more user-friendly option for business users on the go.

As the apple watch is yet to find the success of the other apple products, Apple has taken things into account and given the watch a price cut from US$299(AUD$459) to US$459(AUD$393) making it slightly more affordable. The watch has also seen a strap option addition with woven nylon wristbands.

It is still assumed that apple will release an iPhone 7 later this year.
