Giant Glass Slipper Building

It seems giant Cinderella lost her glass slipper in Chiayi Budai Seascape Park in Taiwan. Not literally, but you will find a 16m tall glass high heel shaped church there. Local tourism authorities commissioned $686,000 to build the modern architecture over two months.

The “Cinderella High-Heel Church” does not have religious affiliation but will work as the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. The idea of the high heel stemmed from the Blackfoot disease epidemic in the 1960s where many women were forced to undergo amputations.

The shoe-shaped design made of 320 tinted glass panels will hopefully attract more women once it opens it’s doors on February 8.
