Work Life Balance in Australia Continues to Evolve
Work life balance in Australia has become an increasingly important topic as employees and employers rethink traditional work structures. Flexible work arrangements, remote work, and changing[...]

AI and robotics are transforming Australia’s renewable energy sector, with a major solar farm in Victoria leading the charge. At ENGIE’s Goorambat East Solar Farm, an ambitious 250 megawatt project in northern Victoria, AI powered robotics are being trialled to automate the installation of solar panel support structures.
The technology, developed by Bouygues Construction Australia and Equans Solar and Storage, uses an autonomous piling system to accurately position and drive support poles into the ground. This process traditionally requires extensive manual labour but can now be completed faster, more safely, and with greater precision thanks to AI.
The Goorambat East Solar Farm will eventually see 500,000 solar panels installed, contributing significantly to Victoria’s renewable energy targets. Projects like this demonstrate how AI can improve productivity, reduce costs, and help the country accelerate its clean energy transition.
For Australian businesses in the energy and construction sectors, it’s a sign of things to come. As AI-powered technologies mature, they will increasingly be integrated into large scale infrastructure projects, offering both environmental benefits and commercial opportunities.
