Apple Music has announced their purchase of James Corden’s popular Carpool Karaoke Series.
The show first got attention when comedian James Corden made a segment on his show “The Late Late Show with James Corden”, available to watch on Youtube.
The show involved Corden picking up celebrities, from Chris Martin, Adele, Sia, Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber having a sing along of their hit tunes.
Now fans are expressing their disdain about Apples changes to the show.
Michelle Obama was the latest celebrity to sit in the passenger seat and the episode garnered over “32 million views on YouTube since it was posted on July 20” (Business Insider, 2016).
Will fans be willing to pay to watch Corden on Apple Music subscription? Apple has bought 16 episodes that are 15 minutes longer than their usual format of 10 minutes. Some fans are claiming they’ll sue.
If this means carpool karaoke isn't gonna be on YouTube anymore I'm suing https://t.co/sQ0jFB4juj
