When Jane Lu, founder of Showpo, left her job to start a fashion business from scratch, she had no idea she would end up as a self made millionaire, with her company turning over more than $10 million a year, while selling to over 45 countries across the globe. Along with Showpo‘s massive presence on social media and impeccable fashion line, Lu has now been working on something that could potentially change the game in terms of fashion and technology.
When Lu took to Facebook live yesterday, fans were not prepared for what they were about to see.
“I’ve got something really, really exciting to show you that I’ve been working on for a while now,” Lu exclaimed to the camera. “This is going to be next level.”
Lu then turned the camera to Showpo model, Victoria, who appeared in a white dress. Lu then requested her staff select a colour from an iPad app colour wheel. She suggested pink, and within a matter of seconds, the model’s dress changed from white to pink. Amongst the screams of shock and excitement, the dress then changed to blue and then purple.
While the exact technology used remains unknown, in terms of fashion, this innovative move has the potential to become revolutionary for Showpo customers. Check out the video below to witness both fashion and technology come together.
