The latest version of the Australian $5 note has been revealed and has been especially designed for the visually impaired. The tactile feature has been incorporated to help the visually impaired differentiate between the various banknotes. In addition the note will have large numerals and bolder colours particularly some bright yellow blooms of wattle. Queen Elizabeth still features on the note although she has been aged slightly.
Bank governor Glenn Stevens released the new fiver that will begin to go into circulation alongside the current notes from September 1.
